Inspired by the Anthro Weekly Challenge "Cookie", but not finished in time. (heh) The plain inking was finished, but... I misread the date/time for submission, and didn't enter it as a b/w work. So... now I'm simply uploading it to my gallery, the first comic of any sort I've uploaded on dA.
Be gentle! I was under some sort of mad influence. And I'll blame the local air here for it, like I blame it for me getting sick four times this bloody winter.
You may spot my two main inspirations for the characters, although I had to think on it as to why these images came to mind, as I've not watched TV in... hm. About 6 months, and even then, it was late-night fair, which has fewer commercials. "Chips Ahoy!" used to have singing cookies as part of at least one advertising campaign, and the car was inspired by the Chevron talking car series of commercials. I enjoyed both as a change of pace, but never really thought of them as anthro works until recently. I knew that they were, but didn't really think of them in that way.
So many people are exposed to anthro... things every day on TV, but they don't =realize= that they are. The scrubbing bubbles? Check. The talking hot mitt? Check. The walking pipe-robots with internal fluid issues? Check. But I'll bet that the average person who could name all of these products I've alluded to wouldn't even think to place all of these in the anthro box. (shrugs) The things that amuse me late at night. I wish they still did California Raisin commercials with their singing raisins... THOSE were commercials to look forward to!
=== Microns over pencil, black Tria, pink LePlume II for the cookie's blush and Prismacolor markers for the rest. Spent way too long coloring this...
Hey, that cookie had to be good for SOMETHING, right? Thanks for the comment and the ! Too bad I didn't finish it on time; I bet I could have won that week's challenge if I had. What won was a mother cookie telling her offspring to stop eating people before dinner... At least I would have challenged them for the win!
I've been a bit busy, and I'm sorry I've not been around much. Lots of writing going on, but debating which stories, if any of them, to post on dA.

There are a lot of themes that run through the stock gallery many people have similar ideas but they pull them off in different ways. In this series of newsletters we will look at similar ideas but different outcomes.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More

Bugs : "Er, um . . . a Hare-um. I t'ink?"
[Smokey the Genie pops out, looks in the door quickly, amid more shrieks, then grins at Bugs]
Smokey : "Oh, THAT was a harem, alright! I know a harem when I see one!"
